Can I access the Internet in China?

The Internet is becoming more and more popular in China.  Internet cafes,
though heavily regulated, have sprung up all over the city.  Broadband
connections are now available in most apartment complexes and hotels.
Though the connection may be a bit slower than what you are used to, the
Internet is still easily accessed.

This entire website has been designed and published from China.
Interestingly enough, it is on a server that has been blocked out by the
Chinese government's firewall, and thus cannot be directly accessed from
China.  You may find that some sites have been blocked out of China while
surfing the net.  This is a minor problem, however, as using a proxy server
will generally allow you to access these sites.  If you are unfamiliar with
proxies, Landing Beijing's technical staff will be happy to offer a hand.
