Can I get a job teaching while I'm there? Landing Beijing is more than capable of helping you secure a part time teaching job.  Because you will be in China on a student visa, you will not legally be able to work for a school in a full time capacity.  However, there are very many part time positions that need to be filled at all times of the year.  We at Landing Beijing have much experience in the educational field, and would be happy to help you look for a bit of work teaching English during your stay. If you are interested in finding other work, in a particular field of specialization, we can certainly help you look as well.  One of the problems you might run into would be a visa issue.  Chinese law has become much more stringent lately about visa application procedure.  If you enter on a student visa, and desire to change it to a work visa, you will probably have to leave the country to re-apply for a new visa.  Most people find taking a short trip to Hong Kong can solve this problem.
