What's the weather like in Beijing?

While the owners and operators of Landing Beijing
have grown to love the city and call it home, they must
admit that one of Beijing's shortcomings is the
weather.  The summers can be extremely hot,
especially in the months of July and August (reaching
over 100 degrees), and the winters are quite cold
(getting down to the single digits).  

Travelers to Beijing should be prepared, and bring
appropriate attire.  Fortunately clothing is quite cheap
here.  A good, heavy winter coat that will last the winter
can be bought for around $20.  T-shirts cost around

People say the most comfortable season here is
autumn, as the temperatures have dropped, the
breeze is blowing, and the air seems clean.  

The weather is definitely not one of Beijing's strongest
points, but if you prepare accordingly, you should be
comfortable enough.
